Cold War Relics

My name is Dave and I'm a Cold War Relic "historian" of sorts.  I've spent a lot of my spare time over the last four years learning about and visiting decommissioned military sites across the state of Maine.

During the Cold War, Maine had a great significance to the US Military due to its geographic location.  Not only is it the furthest east and north of the contiguous US states, it's also the closest to the former Soviet Union.
